Why we use personal information
We use limited professional information to identify and contact people who may have a relevant business need for Instill Network. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in conducting proportionate, one-to-one business development. We balance that interest against your privacy rights, limit outreach to role-relevant business contacts, and stop direct marketing when you object.
Information we use
We may use your name, professional role, employer, business email address, professional profile URL, public information about your company's services or technical needs, and the status of our correspondence with you. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information for business outreach.
Where information comes from
Information may come from company websites, public professional profiles, public company registers, technical documentation, careers pages, engineering posts, GitHub, case studies, and business research providers such as Clay. We check that the company and role are relevant before using the information for outreach.
Service providers and international transfers
We use service providers including Clay for business research and Google Workspace for email. Hosting and other infrastructure providers may also process information for us. Some providers may process information outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards.
How long we keep information
We delete or anonymise outreach information for people who do not respond after 90 days. We may keep active sales correspondence for up to 24 months after the last interaction. If you opt out or object, we retain only the minimum suppression information needed to make sure we do not contact you again.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your information. You may object to direct marketing at any time. Email [email protected] or reply to any message. We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about outreach contacts.
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can address your concern. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
